In January 2023 some of our members were able to access an old railway tunnel in the Staffordshire moorlands to check on the hibernating bats there.
The 2021 AGM was held on Saturday 6th June at 10am via zoom.
Our 2020 AGM was on Wednesday 11th March at 7.30pm at Gayton
Village Hall.
Following our AGM we had a very interesting a talk by Colin Morris of The Bat Conservation Trust. The talk was about horseshoe bat mitigation and his experiences over the last 35 years.
Some of our Bat Carers attended the National Bat Care Conference (29th Feb 2020) in Gloucestershire.
This was great opportunity to learn and also share best practice with other bat groups.
Feb 19th 2020 A team from Staffordshire and Derbyshire Bat groups meet to survey hibernating bats in the Peak District. This survey was conducted in a number of old lead adits on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border
